I am interested in creating my own electric bike using a Bafang 1000w motor and a 52v battery. At this point, I am now looking for a good—but wallet friendly—mountain bike. Whatever recommendations from Walmart, Target, etc. would be appreciated. I’ve already considered the Kent Trouvaille, but those seem hard to find. $150-400 ideally. I've read that both Ledges may have questionable parts & longevity on the trail compared to the Kent which some say the Kent has a better fork & drivetrain than the Ledges. But the Kent isn't full squish, it has 29" wheels vs the 27.5" wheels I prefer on the Ledges & Kent's tires are 2.4" vs Ledges' 2.6" and I prefer larger tires.
